THE SERENDIPITY HEALING CENTRE

When I first came to The Costa del Sol, last June, I had the idea in my mind I was coming to a place where there is always sunshine, beautiful girls on the beach and a lot of fun at nights. And yes, in a way it is true. But this coast has many other things, apart from all this. One of these "things" is a wonderful place I had the chance of finding a few days after my arrival in Fuengirola. It is a place located in the Sierra de Mijas, 8 kms. from Fuengirola. If you take the Alhaurín el Grande road. A Centre called "Serendipity". I am Spanish and this name was curious, funny and difficult to pronounce at first. When I tell this name to a lot of friends, they all say: "Seren... what? And then more slowly I repeat, "Se-ren-di-pi-ty" and I explain it means: "The gift of finding something valuable in an unusual place." They all look at me astonished, saying: "Is that true?" Does this strange word mean all this? And it does, but not only this. There is a lot more in Serendipity. Let me explain in a little more details what it is.

I will start by saying Serendipity is, first of all, the private home of Joyce and Tom Morgan, a Welsh couple who in 1982, decided to come to live in Spain. They, themselves built this house, which years later became, "The Serendipity Healing Centre". Tom Morgan is a wonderful spiritual healer, who with his hands, his love and with the help of his spirit guides, heals all kind of illnesses that make us suffer. With two simple rods, he stands in front of you and in a few seconds he is ready to tell you how much stress you have and which parts of your body are ill. After relaxing you, he takes you to the healing centre; a separate building close to the house, where I promise you, after a session with him, you will be a different person coming out.

Joyce Morgan, his wife, is an incredible medium able to draw out spirit guides and to channel the messages that they want to transmit to us. These days everybody seems to be talking about angels and Joyce says she could be very rich drawing beautiful angels with wings. But instead she draws the portraits of our father, mother, son, daughter, uncle, etc. because she explains very clearly how a mother that has taken care of her family all her life is an angel. And what she does when drawing her is to demonstrate that love and life continues after death. Isn't it wonderful? Isn't it a marvellous proof that they are still there, that our loved people that have already passed away are still protecting, guiding and loving us?

Joyce also uses the Bach Flower Remedies. She feels a great respect and enthusiasm for the work developed by Dr. Bach, who lived in the 30īs and dedicated all his life to healing people and discovered the flower remedies. But Serendipity itself is a healing centre. The peace and tranquillity you feel when you are here is indescribable and my friend Paddy Sterrett could not describe it better when he called it, "The Valley of Peace". Hundreds of people have already visited it from all around the world and Tom and Joyce will always welcome everybody here. Every Tuesday night, at 8.30 p.m. there is a meditation circle, held by Joyce, which helps us to discover hidden parts of yourself and develop those talents and skills we all have, as well as to understand that a positive attitude will bring happiness and health to your life and those who surround you. It costs 200 pts. and includes a cup of tea and biscuits after meditation and no experience is requested.

We have already been taught that we have to practice to achieve a full life and with the example of Tom and Joyce Morgan, we can enjoy the experience of living everyday, every second of our life, with energy, with positiveness and with love. This has been a little introduction to all as to what goes on at "The Serendipity Healing Centre".
