Just have a look at the roads, and you will see many lorries from different countries, cars, buses and coaches transporting tourists. They come to England using ferries or the Chunnel.
There are also many trains which are connected with the continental railway system since there is the Eurostar. On the Eurostar, the staff is mostly bilingual and you can also find people speaking foreign languages in nearly every station, as it is an important service for foreigners visiting the country aswell.
The air traffic constitutes a large part of the international transport as well, and the use of several languages is often a requirement for people who want to work in these compagnies.
