Just as it is important for people working in hospitals, people working as social carers also have to communicate with the people they are working with. Quite often these people can't speak fluent English, in particular some of the children and therefore foreign languages can be very useful in all the jobs involving foreign people. In many services, professionals have to work with refugies and also have to contact the countries where these people are comming from. Many different languages are involved and are a bonus in addition to qualifications in psychology or social studies. |
