| Biography | Chris grew up following wrestling and from the time he was 7 he always wanted to be a wrestler. He finally pestered his parents enough by the time he was 16 that they gave permission for him to enroll in a wrestling school. When he turned 18 he had his first professional debut in one of the smaller feds and he got beat pretty badly, but it didn’t matter how much his body hurt he was immediately addicted to the adrenaline. From that point on, he wrestled in any match he was offered, sometimes two or three in a night for a promoter. Eventually his time came when he was 20 that he ended up winning his first title in a small promotion called California Wrestling Association. He was well-liked by the fans and he held the heavy weight title for four months until he lost it in a match ladder match that could have ended his career but just made him want more.
After he lost the title, he wrestled in various federations around California until a federation out of Arizona called Tucson Wrestling Association picked him up. He quickly became a fan favorite with his high flying antics and the fact that he was willing to put his body on the line every time. After two months in the fed, he won the Cruiserweight title and he held it for over 8 months. During that time he became double champion when he was teamed with a guy named Big Bad Bob. The name sounded stupid, but he was a very big man who had an enormous amount of strength. The two made a very good team and quickly won the tag team championships that they held for 3 months, and then they again captured them a month later and held them for another 4 months. At the end of their title reign, Chris turned on Bob and for the first time in his life he became a heel. And he immediately became one of the most reviled men in the TWA because of the fact that he had turned on the less than completely intelligent Bob. The two went on to have some memorable matches until on his 22nd birthday, Chris and Bob had a Loser Leaves Town match, and Chris was pinned in the middle of the ring. As he left, the fans gave him a rousing cheer for the time he gave him. After that Chris went home and spent some time with his parents before he received a call from the IWA in Florida. Immediately jumping at the offer, he moved down to Florida and started wrestling there. He toiled in their lower ranks for quite a while, until he was once again teamed with someone unlikely in Ronnie Long and the two won the IWA Tag Team belts. First Chris and Ronnie Long held the tag team belts until Ronnie was injured and Chris found a new tag team partner called Brian Simon. The two formed the team called Sexellence and continued as champions bringing the now healed Ronnie Long back into the team. When the team finally lost the tag belts after 142 days, Chris was ostracized. That was when Scott Easton from MSWA contacted him, and he left the IWA as a favor to Easton. When he first came into the MSWA he was known as Captain Cool and the greatest thing he did under that auspice was to get rid of it and again go back to wrestling under his own name. He wrestled as a heel for a while, until he met Robert Lancaster and the two began to feud, but quickly their companions worked on making the two uneasy allies if not friends. It finally came to a head between the two the week of their match for the Smokey Mountain Heritage Title. The two duked it out for the title and Chris lost by a hair. At the end of the match he also proposed to his longtime girlfriend Jennifer. Not long after that, MSWA shutdown and Chris’s contract was bought out by CSWA and he moved to Lincoln. . . . . | . , . |
