[Fade up]
PAGE: Welcome back to WildFire! and the main event in which Jonny Five will go up against Robert Lancaster to decide the first ever Great Plains Champion.
MASTINO: Couldn't end the night better than being able to watch Jonny Five dismantle that arrogant Englishman Robert Lancaster. I don't know what it is but that man just gets under my damn skin.
PAGE: Maybe your just jealous of his status and ability in the ring.
MASTINO: Jealous of that cheating SOB. You got to be kidding me Eddie.
PAGE: Well let's go to "Diamond" Lou Walsh with the introductions.
WALSH: Ladies and Gentleman welcome to your main event. It is a one fall twenty minute time limit match for the Great Plains title. Now entering the ring he weighs in at 276lbs, from New York Jonnnnnny Fiveeeeeeeeeeee
[Five and Chavez quicklystep out onto the rampway and are immediately bombarded with "YOU SUCK" and "WHERE"S
chants. Five starts to go after the fans but is immediately subdued by Chavez who manages to calm him down]
PAGE: Despite that little incident Five looks as focused as he could be.
McCOY: I know one thing Eddie, Five is looking to take that next step up the ladder, and winning the Great Plains belt will ensure that leap..
[Jonny and Eric both slowly makes thire way to the ring, all the while yelling obscenities back at the fans. ]
[Both men reach the ring and get in. Jonny climbs the top rope in the left corner and faces the entrance. Jonny then raises his arms in the air and extends both middle fingers causing another wave of trash to fly at him, as the fans boo at the top of their lungs.]
PAGE: You know Russell, maybe if Five was a bit kinder to the fans they might be nicer to him.
McCOY: Why should he be nice to those sheep, they don't know talent when they see it. Hell they think Cledus is Lord Almighty.
PAGE: WHAT?
[Break Stuff slowly fades away giving Walsh the cue to introduce Five's opponent for tonight]
WALSH: And his opponent hailing from Wessex England he is accompained by the Lady Erin, he is Robert Lancasterrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..........
[The lights dim somewhat, as Beethovens Ninth Symphony begins. As the music hits its peak, a small burst of gold fireworks goes off in the air near the entrance, followed by the lights switching back on. The choir booms in German:]
PAGE: And here comes the Duke.
MCCOY: There is only one Duke Eddie and he died along time ago.
MCCOY: Damn moron can't even find a song that makes sense.
PAGE: It's German Russell. Beethoven's Ninth if I'm not mistaken
MCCOY: That explains it.
[As the chorus sings, the Duke comes out wearing his black Ray Bans, but takes them off and turns around slowly surveying the fans, who cheer him. A look of severe determination is etched in his face, knowing he has a chance to make history once more.]
[ On the video screen, clips of various moments of the Dukes storied career play: the moment where he captured the "Ten Stipulations Title" in the CWF, followed by the victory of the NAWA American Championship, and most recently, the MSWA Smokey Mountain Heritage title. Various scenes of the Duke walking out with his then fiancee Stephanie Dynasty in various revealing yet eloquent outsfits, arm in arm, flash past the screen in sequence]
MCCOY: Look at the set of self-glorification. He makes Adam-X look humble.
PAGE: Why do I have the feeling if that was Ripper Longshanks you would be extoling his virtues.
[Lancaster walks up the stairs and looks at the crowd, holding his arms outward looking for acknowledgment. He steps in the ring and removes his Chain of Nobility, and hands that and his shades and the title to his wife, Stephanie Erin Lancaster, who stands outside the ring, awaiting the start of the match.]
[Ding Ding]
PAGE: And this match is under way.
[Lancaster and Page slowly circle each other before cinching up in the classic Collar/Elbow tie up. Lancaster turns the move into a armbar which is quickly reversed by Five. Five then uses his height and weight advantage to force Lancaster down on his knees but keeps the arm bar locked in. Lancaster then rolls out of the armbar, scoops up Five and sends him to the mat with a Fireman's Carry into a Takedown. Lancaster quickly pounces on Five and cinches in a chin lock]
PAGE: Great opening by both men. Each showing how adept they when it comes to the technical side of things.
MCCOY: And if this keeps up I just might have to get a pillow. Let's see Jonny take this littlel cheater apart.
[Once again using his height and weight advantage Five starts to get to his feet. But like the tenacious British Bulldog Lancaster keep the chin lock, moving his hands slightly so that he now has Five in a sleeperhold. Referee Jerry Stevens shoves his hand under Lancaster's arms to make the Brit isn't using an illegal chock before asking Five if he wishes to submit. Instead of answering Five starts scurries backwards into the nearest turnbuckle in an attempt to dislodge Lancaster]
PAGE: Great ring prescence by Five trying to force Lancaster to let go of that sleeper hold.
MCCOY: That's a blatant choke by Lancaster. Damn cheater.
[Five throws himself back against he turnbuckle once again which forces Lancaster to loosen the sleeper hold. Five takes a couple steps forward which gives Lancaster time to step onto the second turnbuckle where he launches himself in the air and connects with a drop kick to the back of Five. Lancaster follows the dropkick up by rolling Five onto his back and attempting a pin.]
One........
Two..............
PAGE: Five kicks out with authority sending Lancaster into the air.
MCCOY: Please don't mention that name around me.
[Five rolls to his feet and catches Lancaster's leg as Lancaster attempts to send a kick into Five's stomach. Five then ducks under a Lancaster enziguri and takes down Lancaster with a leg sweep. Five follows the leg sweep up by hauling Lancaster to his feet and planting him back hard on the mat with an Belly to Back suplex.]
PAGE: Belly to back after that amazing leg sweep. It never ceases to amaze me how these large wrestlers have become so agile.
MCCOY: Being big just doesn't cut it anymore. To steal a baseball analogy you have to be a five tool player and Five has got it all.
[Five is first to his feet and capitilizes on it by sending a series of stomps to the shoulders and chest of Lancaster. Five then picks Lancaster up an Irish Whips him into the ropes. Five ducks down for a body drop but Lancaster reads it and hurtles over Five to bounce off the far set of ropes. Five spins around just as Lancaster launches himself into the hair in a cross body block. Five staggers with the impact but uses Lancaster's momentum to execute a power slam]
PAGE: POWER SLAM!! POWER SLAM!!
MCCOY: Pin him.........
[Stevens drops to the mat beside the two men and starts to bring his hand down]
One.................
Two........................
Thr...............
PAGE: NO! Lancaster got his shoulder up just in time. We nearly had our first Great Plains champion right there.
MCCOY: Slow count Eddie. Stevens is moving so slow I think you could catch him.
[Five slaps the mat in frustration and hauls Lancaster up by the hair where he sends a closed fist into the side of his head. Five continues pounding away on Lancaster's head until Stevens makes him start with a disqualification threat. By that time blood is starting to drip down the left eye of Lancaster and he is technically out on his feet.]
PAGE: MY GOD!! WHY IS LANCASTER STILL STANDING!!
MCCOY: Because his ass hasn't got the mesage from his brain that he should be tits up in the rhubarb.
[Five pulls away from the ref takes a step forward and lifts Lancaster over his head as if to Press Slam. Five holds Lancaster over his head for several seconds and the crowd instinctively oohs at the strength shown.]
PAGE: PRESS SLAM BACKBRE..........NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
[As Five brings Lancaster down past his head, the former Duke of Wessex grabs hold of Five's head and drives it down toward the mat]
PAGE: DDT!! DDT!!! Somehow Lancaster had the where withall to wrap his arms around Five's head and drive him into the mat with a modified DDT!!
MCCOY: That was a good move by Lancaster, but he should of never allowed himself to get into that position in the first place.
[With Five bouncing onto his back Lancaster drapes an arm over his opponent.]
One.......
Two................
Threeeee..............
PAGE: NO!!! Five got his shoulder up at 2 and 7/8ths. Unbelievable.
MCCOY: That was too damn close for my liking. Lancaster is getting lucky.
[Both men remain on the mat as Stevens starts a ten count]
One.........
Two.............
[Five rolls onto his hands and knees and shakes the cobwebs away, while Lancaster brings his hand up to his eye and wipes blood away]
PAGE: Both men slow to move as referee Stevens continues the count.
Three..........
Four...........
[Five grabs onto the ropes and pulls himself to his feet]
Five...............
PAGE: Five is up and it looks like Lancaster won't be far behind.
Six............
[Lancaster gets to his feet as Five rushes at him. Just before the two men collide Lanaster executes a drop toe hold and turns it into a STF. Five's eyes bulge out of his head as the pain sets in and he slowly starts to inch his way towards the ropes.]
PAGE: Drop toe hold into an STF!! Lancaster is looking to end it right here.
MCCOY: End what his career because if Five gets out of that hold that's exactly what he will be aiming to do
[Lancaster cinches in the STF forcing Five to stop his advance towards the ropes. Stevens drops to his knees and starts asking if Five wantst to submit. When he doesn't get an answer Stevens lifts Five's right arm and lets go waiting for a reaction]
PAGE: Stevens lifts Five's arm and it hits the mat immediately.
MCCOY: Oh crap.
[Five's arm gets raised for a second time................]
[It falls.................]
PAGE: THAT'S TWO! One more and Lancaster walks away with the Great Plains belt.
[From out of no where "The Legend" jumps up on the ring apron and makes a motion to hit Lancaster with his cane which forces Lancaster to break the STF or risk getting nailed with the cane. Stevens jumps up from the mat and forces Chavez back onto the floor. Having already accomplished what he wanted to do Chavez grins at Stevens and glady complies to the order]
PAGE: Chavez managed to do what Five coudn't do and that was break Lancaster's STF.
MCCOY: Smart move by The Legend. He saw his man in trouble and acting accordingly and unlike a lot of other people around here he didn't have to cheat to do it.
PAGE: Do you listen to yourself Russell.
MCCOY: [grinnnig] Of course I'm my biggest fan.
[Back in the ring Lancaster points a finger at Chavez and makes a threatening motion. Chavez just laughs and offers Lancaster to leave the ring to make good on his threat. Lancaster knowing full well what Chavez has in mind ignores the motion and turns his attention back to Five who by this time is on his knees. Lancaster then drives a knee into the chin of Five bowling the bigger man over. Throwing his arms in the air Lancaster starts to work the crowd as he scrambles up to the top turnbuckle and launches himself into the air]
PAGE: MOONSAULT!!! MOONSAULT!! Lancaster nailed that moonsault perfectly.
MCCOY: Five stood no chance to react to that move. Lancaster must be cheating somehow.
One....................
Two............................
PAGE: AND IT'S OVE...........NOOOOOOOOOO!
[At 2 and 7/8ths Five manages to lift his leg and drop it on the bottom rope. Stevens sees the leg hit the rope just before his hand slaps the mat for the third time. Lancaster looks at him questioningly but seems satisfied with the answer that Stevens has given him. With blood still dripping down into his eye Lancaster hauls Five to his feet and sends him off the ropes with an Irish Whip. Before Five can react Lancaster follows him in and connects with a clothesline that sends the bigger man over the top rope to the floor below. Five lands awkwardly on his shoulder and crumples into a ball.]
PAGE: OOOOHHH! Five lands hard on the floor. It looks like he may of done some serious damage to his shoulder.
MCCOY: This is not good. Not good at all
[Stevens starts the then count while Five rolls around on the floor]
One.............
Twooooooooooooo
Three.................
[The fans start chanting Suicida over and over again in an attempt to get Lancaster to take a leap of faith over the top rope.]
Four..........
[Five rolls to his knees and starts to get to his feet as Chavez urges him on]
Five...........
[With steel in his eyes Lancaster takes a few steps back, starts running towards the ropes and...........]
PAGE: SUICIDI!!! SUICIDI!!! MY GOD LANCASTER JUST TOOK FIVE, CHAVEZ AND HIMSELF OUT WITH THAT MOVE! IT'S A TRAIN WRECK!!
[Stevens restarts the count and gets to five before anyone starts to move]
Six...............
[Lancaster rolls to his knees and grabs the ring apron]
Seven..........
[Five using the stairs to support himself gets to his feet and staggers to lean on the ring apron.]
PAGE: I'm not either man will be able to get into the ring to stop the count.
MCCOY: GET IN THE RING DAMMIT!!
Eight................
[Lancaster roll into the ring followed seconds later by Five. Both men quickly get to their feet and start exchanging lefts and rights. Lancaster comes in with a hard right that staggers Five but the man from New York blocks a second punch and traps Lancasters right arm under his own. Five then pulls Lancaster into him and drives his forehead into Lancaster's face. A second blow gives Five the opportunity to send a knee into the Englishman's stomach. When Lancaster bends over Five hooks his other arm and quickly sends Lancaster to the mat with an underhook face driver.]
PAGE: OH MY! Lancaster's face is taking a beating.
MCCOY: It's okay Eddie he can afford to get that ugly mug repaired.
One..............
Two....................
[This time it is Lancaster with the ring savy to reach out and drop a leg on the ropes. Stevens breaks the pin count and motions to Five that Lancaster's foot was on the ropes. Five though wants to hear none of it and continues the offensive by grabbing Lancaster by the hair and slamming his head into the mat. Five eventually stops the onslaught when Steven's threatens to DQ him. Snarling Five stands jumps to the second turnbuckle and spins off it landing a leg drop across the throat of Lancaster]
PAGE: Five has gone nuts. This match is starting to turn ugly.
MCCOY: Then Lancaster won't stand a chance unless his wife gets involved.
PAGE: Are you saying the Lady Stephanie is ugly
MCCOY: [startled] NO! I'm stating Lancaster won't stand a chance unless his wife cheats on his behalf.
[Five lifts Lancaster to his feet and sets him up for a brainbuster suplex, but Lancaster somehow manages to block it by hooking his leg around Five's. Lancaster quickly turns the block into a..........]
PAGE: LANCASTER WITH A ROLL UP!
One...............
[Five easily kicks out and gets to his feet but is met with a low blow by Lancaster who then goes for another rollup.]
MCCOY: LOOK AT THAT DAMN CHEATER!!
One.................
Two....................
PAGE: KICKOUT BY FIVE! I am almost in agreement with you Russell but I'd call that more of a desperation move over a attempt to win by devious means.
MCCOY: Then your a bigger moron that I thought Eddie, because that was a blatant attempt to cheat.
[Lancaster follows up the pin attempt by hauling Five to his feet and executing a snap suplex. Sensing the end is near Lancaster bounces of the far ropes and comes back and nails Five with a dropkick to the knee just as he gets to his feet. Lancaster spins around and attempts to lock in a Cobra Clutch but Five reverses it with a snap mare.]
PAGE: Five with the snap mare reversal on Lancaster after he tried to cinch in the Champagne Wishes and Caviar Dreams.
MCCOY: I wonder if Robin Leach knows Lancaster is stealing his catch phrase.
PAGE: Oh get over it..............OH MY! FIVE WITH AN ARGENTINE BACKBREAKER INTO A BRAINBUSTER!!
MCCOY: WOOOOOO! I told ya Five would come through.
One................
Twooooo...............
Threeeeeeeeeee........................
MCCOY: And we have a champion.............
PAGE: Not so fast Russell. Stevens is making a motion that Lancaster managed to get his shoulder up at the last second. Five should of had this match wrapped up but Lancaster dug deep and managed to keep things alive.
[Five drops a knee across the back of Lancaster and follows it up by flipping Lancaster over to his back. and applies a Crucifix Armbar. Lancaster's eyes open in pain but he shakes his head vigorously when Stevens asks him if he wants to submit. Five keeps pulling down on Lancaster's elbow in an attempt to either force Lancaster to tap or or suffer a dislocated elbow. Instead Lancaster grits his teeth and kicks out with his legs in hopes of snagging one of the ropes.]
PAGE: Jujigatame by Five and he is really working that elbow in an attempt to make Lancaster say I quit.
[Stephanie rushes over to where the two men are and starts encouraging Lancaster but beats a hasty retreat when Chavez starts to get near. Chavez starts slapping the mat and taunting Lancaster screaming at him to give it up. Lancster ignores Chavez and attempts to roll out of the armbar but Five rears back ending the break attempt. ]
PAGE: I'm not sure Lancaster can hold on much longer. That elbow must be feeling like it's being torn apart.
MCCOY: Lancaster is showing some guts here but he should remember he is going to have to use that elbow for the rest of his life. It would do him any good if it's like over cooked macaroni.
[Growing frustrated Five breaks the Crucifix Armbar and gets to his feet. Stalking around he waits for Lancaster to get to his feet where he then delivers a hard kick to the Englishman's stomach.and lifts Lancaster in the air for the start of the Deep Six. Lancaster spins out of the move and executes and modified backslide/sunset flip]
One........
Two.............
PAGE: KICKOUT BY FIVE!
MCCOY: Lancaster must have a horse shoe up his......
[Lancaster is on his feet first and is ready as Five charges at him. A Japanese arm drag later Five is bouncing to his feet on the opposite side of the ring Five charges once more but finds himself again on the short end of an arm drag. Five slowly gets to his feet and measures Lancaster in a new light. Lancaster just stares back and wipes blood from his reopened cut. ]
PAGE: Lancaster just took Five to school with those two arm drags. He once again dug deep to come up with those two technically sound moves. Five looks like a deer caught in the headlights after those moves.
MCCOY: Your bias towards Lancaster astounds me Eddie. You should be ashamed of yourself.
[Five attempts a clothesline which Lancaster easily ducks. Lancaster then spins around in attempt to do a waistlock suplex but is surprised by a Five mule kick. Five turns himself around, hooks Lancaster's head under his right arm and starts to come down with a DDT. Lancaster manages to block the move and gets his arm up over Five's head and connects with a small package DDT]
PAGE: NOBILITY OF THE SWORD!! LANCASTER JUST DROVE FIVE'S HEAD INTO THE MAT WITH THE NOBILITY OF THE SWORD!!
One..............
MCCOY: NOOOOOOOOOO!
Two..................
Threeeeeeeeeee........
PAGE: UNBELIEVABLE!! FIVE KICKED OUT!
MCCOY: Haven't I been telling you that Five is a monster.
[Without hesitation Lancaster jumps to his feet and scrambles to the nearest corner where he quickly climbs to the top turnbuckle. With the fans screaming to put Five away Lancaster raises his arms in the air and launches himself towards Five with a top rope Splash.]
PAGE: OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH MYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!
[McCoy overs his eyes and refuses to comment]
BAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!
One.....................
Two..........................
[Five tries to get momentum to kick out]
Three.........................
PAGE: AND HE'S DONE IT!! ROBERT LANCASTER HAS WON THE GREAT PLAINS TITLE!!
MCCOY: Lord help us all
[Ding Ding Ding]
WALSH: And your winner and the first CSWA Great Plains Champion........ROBERT LANCASTERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
[Referee Stevens hand the new Great Plains Title to Lancaster who proudly hold is up over his head for the fans to see. A moment late Stephanie rushes into the ring and the two embrace to a loud round of applause.]
PAGE: Lancaster pulled out al the stops on this match tonight Russell and deserves to be crowned the first Great Plains Champion.
MCCOY: Yeah I will admit he put on a good show, but now let's see what kind of a champion he is.
[Stephanie takes the belt and helps her husband to put it around his waist. Shouts of encouragement and catcalls echo throught the arena as the two once again embrace. ]
PAGE: That brings us to the end of another edition of WildFire! For Russell McCoy I am Eddie Page Good night and Godspeed.........
[WildFire! goes off the air with the fans standing on their feet cheering Lancaster and Stephanie in the middle of the ring]
