[Fade in backstage]
[Amongst the black tech boxes and extra equipment, the place is running wild. Marshall has everyone such a tight ship that you could hear a pin drop as all the Technicians work harder not to make one mistake. Marshall law as it has been whispered around the back, is in full effect tonight. Everyone is walking on glass trying to make everything right. ]
[Sitting on one of the black boxes with an ice pack on his neck is Adam-X. The effects of his match with Jack Cross seen evident on his face and body. His first match back pushed his body but he was ready and took everything the young superstar had. Adam is talking to the other two figures there. Next to him, stands two of his Authority teammates, Jeffery Kushner and Mace. As they talk, the conversation can be over heard.]
[MACE] Does the neck hurt much?
[ADAM-X] No more then normal hurting from a match. Used to, the pain would be blinding but now it hurts just like I started out in the business. I hated to take the time off, but I haven't felt this good in a long time out there.
[KUSHNER] That is great. I mean, if you were hurt all that time before when I saw you, I feel for anyone you are in the ring with now.
[MACE] Yeah, well, they probably deserve it. If not, hell, we will buy em a beer next time.
[ADAM-X] Well, let me tell you what you guys deserve right now. Thanks.
[KUSHNER] For what?
[ADAM-X] For coming out there tonight and running that little maggot Mitchell off so Cross and I could have a real match. You guys did great and showed what it means to be in Authority. You guys ran out and helped me but didn't interfere in the match. And when the Darkness came out, you guys came out to help me. That is what I have been talking about all this time, about family. This is our team! This is our TIME and by god, Marshall pissed or not, they will all know it!
[MACE] You see, that's what we need. Solidarity. I'm glad Alex started this whole thing. That he brought us all together because right now, The Darkness and Marshall would rip us apart if we were alone. But together, no one can stop us. To tweak what you always say Jeff, this is OUR TIME.
[KUSHNER] That's true. I know that everyone has these misconceptions or thinks that all you do is drink and act like children. All they have to do is look at us. Because we have to move on past everything. Just focus on ourselves, and this family. Make a name for all of us, and make sure everyone knows we're not messing around this time.
[ADAM-X] Next week, Alex and Napalm are going to be gone for the Karen Mace Memorial Tag Team Tournament. We need to make a stand tonight to make sure that next week, we won't have problems, because we have stopped them tonight. Jeff and I are going to find Napalm and Alex and let them in on everything. We will meet you back at the dressing room.
[MACE] See you there.
[Adam jumps down and begins walking with Kushner down the hallway. They are silent for the first few steps but Adam is the first one to speak.]
[ADAM-X] Is everything ok, Jeff?
[KUSHNER] It is getting there, but still alot of things I have to work out.
[ADAM-X] I am sorry to hear about what is going on with Honey. Divorce is never an easy thing. If there is anything we can do, you know all you have to do is ask.
[KUSHNER] You guys have been there by just letting me have some time to myself to think and I thank you for that. Right now, there is other things then just the divorce. There is all the things. Me trying to find a place to go to...
[ADAM-X] A place to stay? Jeff, I think I got something right up your alley. Your problem's are solved.
[FADE OUT]
