| ABSENT: If your child is going to be absent, please remember to call: 781-279-3860 prior to 8:10am. LUNCH/MILK TICKETS: Grades 1-5 purchase them on Wednesdays. Please indicate amount of $ enclosed and # of milk/lunch tickets you are purchasing along with your child's name and teacher on the envelope. Kindergarten parents should check with their teacher. PARENTS/VISITORS/VOLUNTEERS: Please check-in at the office, sign the Visitor Register and get a Visitor/Volunteer badge. This should be pinned in a visible place so that all the children AND school personnel can see that you are in the school under permissable conditions. This is for the safety of EVERYONE and ALL VISITORS are expected to comply. POMEWORTH STREET: No longer one-way from William to Washington Sts. PARKING: Effective in September 2003, the old Central will no longer be in operation. As a result, Pomeworth Street parking will be available for Central School parents wishing to use the playgrounds or planning to remain on school grounds for an extended period of time. Parking in the parking lot adjacent to the (small) playground/morning line-up area will be reserved for Kindergarten parents and other short-term parking where parents need to leave their cars briefly to pick-up or drop-off their children. Parents must accompany their children across the driveway at all times. No child will be allowed to cross the Central School driveway unsupervised by an adult. Parent parking is prohibited in the Cataldo parking lot, the staff lots on the right and left as you enter the property, and other areas as markedl. CLICK HERE FOR DIAGRAM. LIVE PARKING: This is the drop-off/pick-up lane immediately in front of the school. Please DO NOT leave your vehicle! This convenience is offered by using the Fire Lane and is designated as such. If your vehicle is left unattended by a driver, please be aware that you may be subjected to a $50.00 fine! DRIVEWAYS ARE ONE-WAY: Central School's driveway is one-way from Pomeworth Street towards the junction of the Middle School driveway and the exit for BOTH schools. If parents use the Middle School driveway, please discharge passengers at the junction of the driveways and have children use the crosswalk. Please use extreme caution if a Crossing Guard is unavailable. SCHOOL HOURS AND LINE-UP: We're keeping our earlier hours of 8:05AM - 2:10PM. Students line-up with their class on the basketball court between 7:55 - 8:04AM. (In inclement weather: Students in K-3 are asked to gather in the Cafetorium and Students in Grades 4 and 5 are asked to report to the 3rd floor /classrooms). Late bell rings at 8:10AM: Students should report to the Office for a late slip. Dismissal is at 2:10PM (12:20PM on early dismissal days): Kindergarten and Grades 1-3 are dismissed from the doors facing the basketball court (morning entry); Grades 4 and 5 are generally dismissed from the main entrance doors (check with teachers to be sure). Important Notes: When the school is locked (from 8:30AM), use the buzzer button located to the right of the 1st main entrance doorway (black box). That 1st door is the ONLY one that opens when you are "buzzed in" . PLEASE be wary of people entering the building as you exit if they have not been buzzed in by the office. Point them in the direction of the office for the safety of all. Fire Drills: If you are at the school when a Fire Drill occurs, PLEASE do NOT take your child from the class line-up or otherwise hinder the process. |
