The wind and I are sometimes friends

                                                                    When it blows my hair the friendship ends.

                                                                        There once was a teacher at Lincoln

<                                                                        Who said to a friend, "I've been thinkin',

                                                                        I'll teach these kids rhyme

                                                                        One step at a time.

                                                                        They'll choose the right words and then ink 'em.

About the Author

Phyllis J. Dumm's students gained much from her years of teaching because she always made the characters literally jump off of the pages. And, she still enjoys reading poetry and short stories aloud to an audience who appreciates the written word. So it's only natural that she would also love writing poetry and short essays as well as ballroom dancing and photography.
