"Central Perk" is the coffee house where the "Friends" gang meets. There, they drink coffee, and other sweets. It is named after a park in New York called "Central Park". Central Perk is not too far away from it. Terry owns it, and Gunther (who had a crush on Rachel ever since she moved to the city, and still does) is the manager of it. Rachel used to work in Central Perk, but then later on quit because it was not what she wanted to do. Phoebe once got very mad at Terry becasue he said he would hire a professional guitarist/singer. So she made up a song: "Terry's a jerk, and he won't let me work, and I hate Central Perk". LOL, (click here to download). Actually, before Rachel moved in with Monica, Central Perk used to be a bar with a pool table and everything. Did you know that the coffee maker actually works, and the cast/crew sometimes do hang around there and drink coffee. You could see it in a special Friends episode called "The Stuff You've Never Seen". There is no actual Central Perk here in NY. Although, there is one is Geneva, Switzerland dedicated to the show (Central Perk Caf�). And of course, it is much larger. If you make a coffee house that small in the center of NY in Manhattan's Grenwich Village, there would be no room. There was even an episode where Ross & Chandler get scared by these two guys who wanted to sit on the couch. They took Chandler's hat, but later on they all became friends b/c while they were fighting, someone took all of their things. Later on, Chandler tripped over a little girls jumprope when chasing the "robbers".
