The Awards are to be Given out! How did Central do?
Look at that stage..in front of all those people. How would u feel to be standing up in front of over 10,000 people? Think about the fear in a person as they are standing there looking out in the crowd thinking..."how did i get here?" Hard work too them there..dedication brought them onto that stage..and love of what they were doing brought them to earn the title of a National Champion. So how did Central turn out as in..who go to stand on that stage? Well in the years past in all of Wyoming history participating in the National Convention only 2 National Awards had been taken home. Was it possible to take home 1 or even 2 for the state in the year 2000? Or were we just dreaming way into the fantasy and just wishing? Well even though Wyoming brought only an estimate of 25 students to compete at Nationals.. 12 of which were from Cheyenne Central, Wyoming did however take home 2 National Awards in 2000. See the Award being given to the Talented Young Lady from Central who took 3rd in the Nation for Nursing Assisting.
Kristin Stearns- 3rd for Nursing Assistant
Here in her competition uniform Kristin seems to be enjoying herself. There were about 9 different stages she had to go through in the course of the day and had to sit in a holding bin quite often. I think she enjoyed herself when she was competiting and when she was waiting to go again! She did a fantastic job!!! GOOD WORK!
