On the way to Nationals
At the airport in Denver the 12 competing Central Students and the 2 advisors prepare for the flight out of DIA to head to the airport in Kansas City. The students were pumped up to do well but this was only the begining. We will show u the rest of there trip and how there luck turned out while competing at Nationals.
The Wyoming State Director of VICA informs all the Wyoming participants about the competition at a meeting the first day in Kansas City. They set out to do well.
Here 4 of the Central VICA students are looking around outside of all the competitions hoping to find there way around the large complex.
The Opening Session. With the look of this large crowd many of the students from Central became a tad intimidated at the amount of people attending this conference. Over 10,000 students were at Nationals and Wyoming only took about 30 there, while states like Texas and New York had over 300 students attending. A tad intimidating...I would believe so.
Travis Thompson works on building his brick wall during his competiton at Nationals. His competiton was help in a large arena area where anyone could watch. Im sure it was stressful. For a little deeper look on what he did..go to the IN DEPTH page
The Health Knowledge Bowl Team from Central stands outside the competiton room with their advisor and hopes for the best in competiting. They competed against many teams in Health Related Questions.
