Well this is the 2nd time I have signed this; maybe this time it will stick. I do not know if I am going to make it to this thing. I have so much going on right now with the family. Thanks, Joe for a really good web site. Robert & I are really looking forward to the reunion. I am one of those (much) younger graduates who married into the class of '70. We have attended each and every reunion of the class of '70 and '71 . . . and they do just get better with time. Maybe y the time we get ready for the 35th we could combine the two classes for a joint (can I say that word now that the 70's are really OVER!!) reunion. Joe, You are the KING STUD OF THE WEB!!! I'm looking forward to seeing all you old folks. Seems like yesterday we were stylin' in our Ladybugs and Villagers, pulling fruit loops off the guys Gants, and cruisin' to the Association on the 8 track. It's co l to remember those days but I am definitely diggin' the 00's and NOT missing orange juice can rollers in my hair or blue eyeshadow. Hope all of you get to come who can manage to drive to NLR without having a major coronary. It should be a good time,good food, good conversation, good, good good, good vibrations....ooops...I was having a Beach Boy Moment. Should be good music too. Being white and Baptist, I still can't dance but I'm willing to try if for no other reason but to give everyone, especially J e Graham, a good laugh. I expect to have PLETHORA (that's a Hall High word) of dance partners but in case it looks like "Corral" all over again, I'm not too proud at this stage of life to go it alone. Well, I can tell it's getting a little too late at ight to be coherent so good night and I'll see you all in June. Keep up the good work, Joe!

I received the newsletter today regarding our 30th reunion. It stated "Get back to where you once beonged". I never did or anyone who went to LRCHS belonged to North Little Rock or Sherwood, Arkansas. Why does the reunion committe feel that having the reunion in NLR make us feel like we belong?? Since my husband has been in the Navy, we have not been in a geographical area to actually attend before, but I would have liked to have attended this one, but not if we have to go to NLR. Surely there has to be sonewhere in the big city of Little Rock that this aupicious occasion could take place (or is it that the people in charge of this years' event has ties to NLR) It seems a shame. I love my tie to Little Rock Central High School But don't count on us t is year. I would go to LR but not NLR. Do ya'll not remember a rival with NLR?????????????

It's unfortunate that all our prior comments got erased but there again its kind of "cool" because we get to hear from some people twice! -plus who doesn't always welcome a "fresh start.!" Looking forward to the 2000 reunion, as always! Seems like the last five(5) years have wisked by since the 25 year reunion. Does anyone remember in high school calculating their age in the year 2000, and thinking how ancient they would be? It's always mazing at reunions to see the people who haven't changed a bit, and those who would knock me down and I wouldn't know who they were. It's easy to make suggestions for the Reunion committee, but 1)some type of list of 1970 classmates current address, spou es, profession (is anyone retired yet?), kids, etc. would be great to receive at the reunion, 2)ask former 1966-70 year teachers to attend one of the nights (free of charge) like Opal Harper (great English teacher), Don Nixon, Mr. Swint, Mr. Blair, etc. w uld be great, 3)open the reunion on one of the nights to school chums from both the class behind (1971) or ahead (1969) would be interesting, provided they pay the same as everyone else. Again, easy to suggest since I can't do any reunion work living in he Atlanta area. Note: The trivia in the mailed flyer about LRCHS 1970 reunion should be +1 for question about the number of seniors attending Boys/Girls State. I went, hated every minute of it, and didn't get my picture in the PIX to prove I went thro gh the ordeal. Question: Does anyone know where the film of any of the 1969-1970 LRCHS basketball games might be? Don Nixon filmed various games (including the state championship game), gave the films to Fred Allen, and Fred has said he doesn't know wh re the films are. Question: Did anyone come to Atlanta for the 2000 SEC basketball tourney? I was in row 13 in the Arkansas section for the Georgia and Kentucky games, and looked for familiar faces, but saw none.
