After teaching abroad for many years and then managing a children's clothing store, Marcia Herson decided, in her retirement, to transfer a lifetime of experience into art.  Polymer Clay, with its ease of manipulation, vibrant hues and seemingly endless potential became her medium.

Marcia's work is both innovate and functional.  These unique pieces of art-jewelry add a distinctive finishing  touch to any outfit.

Her work can be found in fine galleries around the country.  She is featured in The League of NH Craftsmen shops.  Marcia also serves as a Juror in Polymer Clay for "The League."

Her Shekinah line, consisting of pieces of Judaic significance, is carried in Synagogue gift shops around the country.

Marcia was busy this past year with a One Person Show at the Farmer's Market in Bedford, NH, winning a prize at Craftwear and being featured in the April 2000 issue of the prestigious Lapidary Journal.

In addition, an article she wrote will be appearing in the upcoming Precious Metal Clay newsletter:  PMC Studio and she will be a part of an important craft exhibit in September under the auspices of the Hood Museum of Dartmouth College.

Though 62 years of age, she feels that her best years as an artisan still lie ahead...
