Handbells

UBC Handbells is starting up again in August. Anyone interested should call or e-mail Lily Watson. Rehearsals are Tuesdays at 6:30 pm. UBC Handbells participate in worship once a month and have a Christmas concert in December. All levels welcome!

Welcome Back Wednesday

Wenesday, August 30th is the first day of class for UT students. Come help us welcome them back at our annual Welcome Back Wednesday event to be held on the front steps of our church. Come greet the students with water and munchies and information about the church. We will gather starting at 8:00 am and finish around 2:00 pm, or when the water/munchies run out - whichever comes first. E-mail Jackie Saxon for more information.

Centennial Quilt

We are making a quilt, which will hang in the Fellowship Hall, to commemorate the hundredth anniversary of UBC in 2008. It will take some time to get all the blocks made, put the quilt together, and get it quilted, so it is important to start early. If you would like to have a part in the great project, please pick up a pre-cut fabric square and a sheet of instructions from the table outside the sanctuary or the table at the back of the Fellowship Hall. If you have questions that are not answered in the instructions, please see Gladys Peterson. The size of the quilt will depend on the number of blocks completed.
