Born in Ergoldsback, Germany in 1985. Grew up in his mother's native country, the Philippines from the age of one.

Growing up in a Musical family, His Mother was a Professional bass player.
His Grandfather was a trumpet player and almost everybody else sings.
By that He was drawn to music at an early age singing in various school competition at the age of three. Then, was trained classically in piano at the age of 7, it lasted only for a year and picked the Electric bass at the age of 9.

Mostly self taught, He took lessons at Yamaha school of music when he was 12, but it only lasted for 7 sessions due to lack of finance in the family. At this point He was largely self-taught and was involved in Church Bands, playing gospel music, and also pop music, learning it through song books and listening to recordings.

At the age of 13. Markus was searching for ways to expand his music and bass playing. At this point He found the calling of jazz music.
tracing the works of Abraham Laboriel Sr. who played in different gospel and jazz groups. He found his first major influence in Electric bass.

After moving to United States at the age of 16. He joined several groups and had toured in Hawaii and some parts in California, after that Markus had decided to pursue music. Studied Music with concentration in Jazz for a year and a half at a local community college with the Guidance of Mr. Herbert Smith, studying the works of Paul Chambers, Scot LaFaro,Oscar Pettiford, Eddie Gomez and J.S. Bach on Electric bass with Mr. Larry Lemaster.
With that Markus landed on several gigs around the area, expanding his range towards music, his versatility and his bass playing in general.

Now Markus is on his way to go Shenandoah Conservatory next fall
to conitnue his studies. Majoring in Commercial music with concentration in Jazz.
