Charter Friends National Network [CFNN] was established in late 1996 to promote quality charter schools by connecting and supporting resource centers, charter school associations and other state-level charter support organizations and activities. CFNN also helps start new state-level charter support organizations in states that are passing and strengthening charter school laws.

The Center for Education Reform [CER] is a national, independent, non-profit advocacy organization founded in 1993 to provide support and guidance to parents and teachers, community and civic groups, policymakers and grassroots leaders, and all who are working to bring fundamental reforms to their schools. The following excerpt from the CER report "Charter Schools Today: Changing the Face of American Education" is available on-line here.

The US Charter Schools website, created in 1997, is a place where charter school developers, authorizers, and operators can meet and exchange ideas. The web site provides a wide range of information and links to resources to guide charter schools in every phase of their development — from start-up, to expansion, to renewal.

Ron Peppe is the current President of the Board of Education of Frederick County.  He  created this web site to provide information about Frederick County schools and the things we could do to improve them.
