03/05/03 - 10/05/03 Sat 10/05/03 One more day to Mothers' Day. Went out with Prisc to get my mum a Swarovski rose brooch and did quite alittle bit of shopping at CentrePoint. I bought an orange shirt and a bag. Prisc bought funky neckwear and a pair of ear rings. We went to TerraNova, a shop that only sells Italian apparel that my mum recommended. There was a closing down sale. The prices were pretty comfortable and the stuffs were really great! A pity it was shutting down its only branch in Singapore. = ( Friday 09/05/03 Doing my webby and thinking of what to get for my mum on Mothers' Day. Have yet to plan for the upcoming sunday. Thurs 08/05/03 Was supposed to go for job hunting toghether with 'Goosberry' and yuan fang but I called it off at the last minute because I felt that I needed more time to rest before starting another job. Still doing my webby. Wed 07/05/03 I'm unemployed! Slacking at home. Getting the rest I deserve. Busy designing my page and listening to Louis Armstrong. Downloaded the spanish version of Sing. Tues 06/05/03 My final day at IRAS. *Sob Sob!* We had Canadian pizza as a team with our sup, Mr Lim. It was a really great day. We spent the time taking photos, pening autograph books, chatting and cross-checking forms. We even visited our sup's work station! After work Sharon, Stella, Prisc and I hung out at Bugis and had dinner at V8 Cafe. The baked rice was great! Yum. Mon 05/05/03 Today's my second last day of work at IRAS. We had free breakfast from IRAS. It was MacDonald Taro pie treat! =P~ A pity Vicky didn't like Yam. Sharon, Stella and I sang 'Hey Jude' and 'Silent Throughout All These Years' during work. The twins passsed around their autograph books for everyone to write and I took Sharon's book home to pen my message. I'm gonna bringing mine tomorrow. : ) Met up with Sha, Anna and Khadijah after work for dinner at Magic Wok at White Sands. We got Jah a Powerpuff Bubbles Cushion and a rock CD for her birthday. Anna treated all of us to ice cream at Swenson to celebrate her success at getting a job at JL again. Sun 04/05/03 I slept till late afternoon and was awoken by the noise of the television programme my bro was watching. He's already 20 and still watches CARTOONS! Can you believe it?! I mean it's okay to watch out of leisure but he acutally tapes them and watch every single episode when he fails to wake up in time to catch them. UggH! Boys will be boys.[Read about my poem 'A boy is a boy' under Poems in the Galaxy of my Mind] Anyway, I spent almost the entire day packing my 'A' Level math 'C' notes and filing them up accordingly. Being the ever immaculately particular person that I am, tidying things up has never been a quick task for me. I ended up refiling my O Level geography file when I noticed how the arrangement was not in uniform with my Math 'C' file. I then decided to take out all my other files and clean the shelves that I was going to put my Math file; and while getting to that I figured out why not clean all the other shelves as well? I didn't stop there. I went to the extent of wiping my full-length mirror, sweeping the floor, mending my old literature notebook, sorting out my postcards... You get the PiCtuRe. So I got about doing a whole lot of things but didnt finish tidying up the rest of my A level stuff. Boy can I get distracted. Ha! Sat 03/05/03 Went out with my Jc friend, Xiu Zi after work at IRAS. I read about the 4 days mid-season sales at Heeren from the Fri Straits Times so I thought that would be a cool place for the both of us to hang out and share some good old time together. We checked out a shop - The Choice - or something like that; I can't really recall exactly but it was a pretty neat shop at Novena MRT station which sells soft toys (hmm I thing Chong would like it) and note books with themes on it. You can write on subjects like 'Your family', personal 'Reflections', 'Wedding' or even your grandpa stories. They had wooden photo frames shaped like a jigsaw puzzle and you can buy many to piece together to form a giant Jigsaw photoframe They even had this kit that you can use to mould print your firstborn 'hands' and frame it up as a memorial display. Moving on to Taka. We had lunch at Mos Burger. The place was crowded! We shop at Miss Selfridge. They were having a mid-seasons sale but all the goods were old stock. I bought nothing. We swept through U2, G2000, A/X etc. Feasted our eyes on a gorgeous posh automobile by Osim. It was so classy. It had a Chauffer seat and 2 Osim sized relaxology chairs as passenger seats at the back that can be lowered to a 180 deg angle for sleeping. There was a mini dining table and wine glasses by the door side. It was furnished with the state of the art technology like an LCD TV and build-in sound system. Heeren was next. We shopped alot but nothing seemed to interest us. We stayed on at HMV the longest. We spent quite some time listening to Jazz and Evergreens and having fun pairing up all the songs and artiste with what they was airing. We exchanged opnions about the songs and offered each other recommendations. We wanted to stay on longer but my stomach was giving me the ring. If only we could clip the wings of time. Sigh* At about 7, we hit the streets and each got ourselves an ice cream before heading home. |
