Scheduled Field Trip Information September 17, 2001 Dear Parents: Our Montessori Girl Scout troops studied bat conservation
last year. Our theme this year is
“Louisiana’s History”. We will be
taking many field trips this year centered around that theme, including: 1.
Exploring the Civil War battlefield of Fort Hudson on their annual “Girl Scout
Day” on October 13th; 2.
Attending Alexandria’s Children’s Mardi Gras Parade on February 9th; 3.
Touring the Great
River Road Plantations on April 13th (including an optional
overnight stay at Tezcuco Plantation); and 4.
Taking a trip to Avery
Island in May. In conjunction with that theme, we will be studying France
this year and learning about our Louisiana heritage. If you have any ideals or questions, please call Regina Paul at
445-0138 (work) or 466-9468 (home).
