Fifty years ago today the Lord started a very
special project when He began to create you.
For you see the Lord knew He had to place in you special qualities to serve a special purpose.
The Lord knew that one day you would meet a very lost and lonely girl who would need everything He instilled in you. So with that thought in mind, He spent extra time as He began creating.
The Lord started first with your mind; in your mind He gave you intelligence and the gift of understanding. Both of these would be needed to unscramble the girls' thoughts and mixed up ways.
It was next that He went to your eyes, in them He placed a light that would shine brightly so the girl could see when she lost her way.
Broad shoulders were the next creation for you, for the Lord knew the girl would need a place to lay her head when she was weary. He gave you arms that would open wide when she came running and hands to wipe her tears as they fell.
Your heart was next and this is where the Lord spent most of His time. In your heart the Lord placed tenderness, compassion and forgivness. The Lord gave you character and strength but most of all He placed heaping portions of love for He knew this is what the girl needed and craved in her life more than anything else.
Then one summer day in May just as the Lord knew, you and the girl met and fell in love. Everything the Lord placed in you turned a broken, lonely and lost girl into the woman I am today.
Thank you for being my tower of strength when inside I knew you wanted to crumble too. It's because of you that I can face each day, you are the reason that I live. You're my best friend, the only one that has never left me and really the only true friend that I have.
