The Star Wars Universe and The Star Trek Universe

The Star Wars Universe and The Star Trek Universe

This was actually the very first universe battle that we ever did. The reason I haven't done it until now was that we have done this one over and over again that I couldn't remember what we said. This is probably the longest battle we have ever done. Longest as in it ook forever to come to a conclusion. I will try to recreate the battle as it was but of course there have been some additions since we did this before Enterprise and before I went nuts and watched all the movies. Of course, as with any universe involving the Star Trek universe, Q is not allowed to be used because he is just too powerful that he could take on the entire universe on his own. There is no one who can defeat him (See Q: The Undefeated Champion), in this or any universe. The rest of the universe is in play as is anything in the Star Wars universe.

Land Battle:
If you have read the previous battle involving the Star Trek universe you know that I group the majority of the alien races into one group: Romulans, Klingons, Federation, Cardassians, Hirogen, Siluban, Jem-Hadar, Remans, Xindi, Kazan, Vidians, Breen, etc. The reason I do this is because they basically would fight in the same manner, energy and/or bladed weapons on foot. The special forces from the Star Trek universe consist of The Founders, Species 8472, The Borg, and the Ocumpans. In addition to these, which are the races we considered in the original battle, I would like to add all those God-like races we see in the original series and the one in Star Trek V: The Final Frontier. They are not as powerful as Q so I think its okay to add them. They will be generalized because they always seem to have the same level of power. The being at the centre of the universe from Star Trek V was limited to that planet, so he can' be too powerful but he is enough to be useful to his side. The Star Wars universe has AT-ATs, AT-STs, stormtroopers, Battledroids, Gungans, Wompas, Ewoks, Jedi, Sith, Bounty Hunters, Rebels, and various large creatures. The generalized group of races mentioned earlier is an even match for the stormtroopers, Battledroids, Gungans, Wompas, Ewoks, Rebels, and Bounty Hunters. Many Star Wars fans say that their universe is tougher because "there is no such thing as a stun setting on an imperial blaster". That is true but the forces from the Star Trek universe will have their weapons set to kill, since that is the objective, and this setting will vapourize organic matter on contact. So the Star Trek universe is much more deadly when it wants to be. They are still even though since the forces from the Star Wars universe are more adept at land combat than those of the Star Trek universe. The ones to watch for in this battle are the Borg, Founders, 8472, Ocumpans, and those mini-gods I mentioned before from the Star Trek universe and the Jedi, Sith, AT-ATs, AT-STs from the Star Wars universe. The Jedi and Sith can no match for the Borg, I don't care what anyone says. The use the two weapons in the infinity of sci-fi that are useless against the Borg: mind tricks and energy based weapons. Their light sabers won'twork against the regenetive shields of the drones and the force won't influence the drones. The telekinetic aspect of the force is still useful to prevent assimilation and drive them back but there are thousands of drones and relatively only a handful of Jedi/Sith. The Founders don't actually fight. I just think they should be included because their abilities can be very useful in a fight. Species 8472, Ocumpans, and the mini-gods can easily take out the Walkers and anyone else that isn't taken care of. The land battle goes to the Star Trek universe because it has powerful land based beings.

Air/Space Battle:
The Star Trek universe has some cool looking ships but they are basically similar besides certain things. The Klingons, Romulans, Remans, and Siluban have cloaking devices. The Kazan have the largest ships I have ever seen on Star Trek. The rest of the races have the basics: warpdrive, torpedoes, shields, and teleporters. There are 4 other things that this universe has that should be looked at closely, and they are The Breen's energy disipation weapon, The Prophets, The Borg and a new consideration from the first movie: Vger. The Star Wars universe has TIEs, X-wings, Star Destroyers, Droid fighters, and of course the Death Star. The TIEs and X-wings are nothing to the larger Star Trek ships. The Star Destroyers will keep the generalized group of ships busy. The Breen weapon worked instantly on the Defiant, so it should work well on a Star Destroyer, but there would be many of them and I don't think the Breen can use that weapon so quickly. If the Breen can't do it, the Prophets probably can. I remember hearing that they wiped out a whole fleet of Jem-Hadar ships. I never saw the episode but I will include it here for those that did. The Borg will clean up for sure, nothing that the Star Wars universe has can scratch a single cube let alone the entire fleet. The same goes for Vger, it was only stopped by the intellect and cunning of both Kirk and Spock, or so I recall. The Death Star would easiy pick off the various ships within its vicinity. So the Space battle comes down to, as it always does, to the Death Star vs. The Borg and Vger. The original solution to the Death Star that Matt and I came up with was that The Borg can teleport through shields. The latest encounters with the Borg seen on Voyageur showed that they can block this with multiphasic or rotating frequency shields or whatever technobabble. Basically these shields don't let the Borg adapt to the shields. The beings in the Star Wars universe don't know anything about the Borg so they wouldn't know to rotate their shields' frequencies. This means that whether or not the Death Star's shields have to go down before it fires (as was my assumption in an earlier battle) doesn't since the Borg will teleport on to the station and take it over. I should have put this part in the 3rd section, so I will finish it there later. The addition of Vger to this discussion makes the defeat of the Death Star easier. Nothing could hurt Vger and it absorbed everything it encountered, including planets. The Death Star is no match for Vger. The space battle goes to the Star Trek universe.

Espionage/Sabotage/Other:
The Star Wars universe has very little in the way of espionage or sabotage. The interogation and probe droids are not that useful. The Star Trek universe has a lot of things in this area. The Obsidian order, Tal'shiar, Orion Syndicate, Section 31, and Starfleet Intelligence are allspy agencies within the Star Trek universe. They are pretty much useless in my opinion as well since they have no contacts within the Star Wars universe. They can try to infiltrate but probably won't work well. The Founders on the other hand can infiltrate any base of the enemy. They collect intel that can be used in attacks and even assume the identity of some of the fighters to gain control of key operations and machinery (ie: Death Star). The Siluban can infiltrate just as well, with their personal cloaksa and genetically enhanced abilities. Betazoids and the various other telepaths can read the minds of the enemy. But the best has to be the Borg. They can and will assimilate the enemy's forces and steal their technology for their own use. Like I mentioned above, the Borg will assume control of the Death Star and begin to take out the enemy fighters, and may even send out more TIEs with Borgified pilots in them. This is if Vger hasn't already destroyed the Death Star.

3/3, This may never happen again in this kind of universe battle. This landslide victory was because of the addition of the mini-gods and Vger. Although they were responsible for a certain victory, Star Trek still won based on everything else in the earlier version of this battle. The addition of soe other things was neglected because they were counter productive to the battle. What I mean is things like the Genesis device, The Metrioon Cascade, that energy wave from Generations, and any other planet shattering devices. No advantage can come from blowing up your own guys just to get at the enemy. The same goes for the idea of using the Death Star to blow up the planet.
