I liked this movie, despite the fact that I was able to figure out the ending before half the movie was over.
It was like what happened in the X-men cartoon, the robots take their programming to the next logical level: protect the humans
from themselves. That was not a problem for me since I like cliches sometimes. My problem was not exactly with the movie or story but with the title.
The 3 rules of robotics and the title "I,Robot" all come from a book by Issac Asimov, a famous sci-fi writer. This movie had nothing to do with it at all.
The story was different and I am not sure (I haven't actually read the book) but I don't think they is a part in the book where the robots storm the building.
This statement might get me in trouble since I have no idea if the movie is actually like the book, I may have just committed the act that I hate the most: People talking about
stuff that they don't know about. Oh well, no one actually reads my website anyway, right?
The action was cool and the fights were cool. Usually the give Will Smith cool oneliners and other things to make him seem cooler
than he actually is. I can only remember one oneliner "Get off my car!", which didn't sting my ear as much as in ID4 when he
said "I gotta get me one of these!". He was more in this character this time around, whereas I usually can't over his mannerisms that remind me of the Fresh Prince.
The movie progressed well enough. I always get stuck in analyzing the characters now for their "list-worthiness", as in should I add them to my random battle generator list.
Det. Spooner and Sonny will be added. Overall I liked it.
