This battle came about when I wanted to do a battle between the Justice League and the Avengers. After trying it the whole thing
resulted in a battle between Thor and Superman since the other Avengers were stomped on by the JLA. Each member of the JLA is just too
powerful. I paired them off and each Avenger lost. The battle that actually made me think was this one. They are both superstrong and can fly.
The rest is important. Superman's superspeed will allow him to avoid Thor's hammer attacks. I am not sure how fast that thing is when he throws it.
Thor is fiercer. I think that they are evenly matched in strength and skill. Their other powers are what I had to consider.
Superman's eye lasers would hurt but Thor would eventually absorb it with his hammer, I have seen him do it before. His famous wind
breath is nothing to the God of Storms. Lightening attacks from Thor would hurt Superman slightly, they started this fact a while ago when
people got tired of his invulnerability. So Superman has his speed and Thor has his hammer. Thor has teleportation abilities as well that he may be able to use.
Magic is a major weakness of Superman's and Thor is a magical being. I originally thought about it like this: Thor's hammer can only be used by one who is noble enough.
I reasoned that Superman was not noble by viking standards, but that was just stupid. But the hammer is the key. It always
returns to Thor when he calls it. This is a magical phenomenon so Superman can't stop it. This is the loophole that I thought of. If Thor figures this out
than he can use it to drag or push Superman where he wants him just by calling the hammer and then flying around. Superman can't fight anything magical. He could pin him to a wall with the hammer.
But I thought up a better plan. Thor can hammer Superman a little and gets him pissed enough to fly straight at him.
When Superman flys faster and with blind rage, then Thor calls some lightening. Multiple lightening attacks would affect
Superman even if he is totally invulenrable. His momentum would still carry him towards Thor, right into the portal that he would open. This is something
that he would think of. This seems to me to be the way this would happen. Superman would just try to beat Thor with physical attacks, nothing special.
