One of the discussions on the DC message boards was who was the smartest person in all of comics. From Marvel it was Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic and from DC it was
Michael Holt/Mr. Terrific II. I thought it would be cool to do a battle between them to see how is better. A battle based on
their intellects would be stupid since no of us are smart enough to figure that kind of battle out. But we can do one
of my usual battles. For this battle, let's assume that they are equal in intellect just for simplicity. They actual do seem
to be equal in my opinion. Mr. Terrific has better fighting skill but Mr. Fantastic has powers. I think Reed's stretching ablility
would easily allow him to evade Terrific's physical attacks. I also think that Terrific is agile enough to deal with Reed's powers.
Since they are equally matched in the usual criteria, I needed to look at other ways to fight each other.
They are too smart be trapped by the other one. So I had to come up with this scenario: They evade each other the whole day.
Terrific is a master tactician, so he will wait for the dark of night to do anything. I am not sure how good Reed's tactics are, I never thought of him as a
tactician. He waits for dark since his costume and his skin are dark, he will camouflage better. He was allowed to bring his T-spheres since they are always with him.
I can't remember if they have any offensive weaponry on them or not. If they do or not doesn't matter since he can adapt them
so they do something. Reed would have evaded them during the day but at night Terrific can get closer to use them in an ambush. So this battle of the brains has come down
to the guy with the weapon. But only would a guy as smart as Terrific or Fantastic could come up with something useful from the crap found in my old school. Reed would have to start from scratch
to make something, which would take forever compared to the time it would take Terrific to modify his T-spheres.
