Link (Zelda64: The Ocarina of Time) vs. Predator

Link (Zelda64: The Ocarina of Time) vs. Predator

This battle turned out to be a very interesting one since Predator's cloak was not an advantage here, as it is always in all the battles he has been in so far. The latest version of Link that I am know anything about is that of Zelda 64: The Ocarina of Time, so all his abilities will be taken from there. Since Link can't warp to any temple, he is stuck in his teenage form as apposed to the child you start the game as. Now back to how the cloak is no longer an advantage. Predator first appears in the arena a good distance away from link, as is always the case in my arena, in his visible form. Any kind of device the fighter uses can only be activated within the arena and not beforehand. This is a new rule that I just added because of this battle. Therefore, Predator is visible for at least a few seconds. That, and the fact that Link knows that he is fighting someone and his instinct would tell him to use the Eye of Truth to look for him if he isn't visible. The Eye allows Link to see the unseen, or something like that. Matt and I agree that the magical interpretation of the Predator's cloak would be that he becomes "unseen" and therefore Link can see him. Link's shield protects him from energy blasts many times in the game, and therefore I believe it would protect him from the blaster on the Predator's shoulder. Without his cloak and blaster, Predator would most likely resort to using his forearm blade and frisbee-like weapon in addition to hand to hand fighting. Link is much more agile and quicker than the Predator. Since his cloak is useless, Predator would turn it off. Eventually Link would either run out of magic to use the Eye or just figure out that his opponent is now visible, thus allowing him to use his other magical weapons. His fire, ice, and light arrows would cause a good amount of damage to Predator, both physically and to his eyes as well since Predator uses infrared vision and the light or fire arrow would blind him. Link is agile enough to get around Predator and slice him in the back. If the Predator happens to use his self-destruct device, which counts as a lose for him since it is suicide, Link could jus get far enough away using his Longshot. If this isn't plausible enough, I believe Link could trap Predator using the school and some bombs. He could lead Predator into the school, into a classroom with some unstable bombs and then go ot the window before they blow up. Basically Link wins in any of the usual ways that people win here.

Winner: Link
