Corbon Dallas (5th Element) vs. John McClaine (Die Hard)
We did this battle a while ago, in the early days of the battles. This is te kind of battle that has a similarity in reality, the fact that they are played by the same
actor. Matt and I agreed that they are very similar characters as well, both tough guys who are or used to be some kind of cop.
They are both wicked shots, we assumed they have equal marksmanship skills. So this battle shad to come down to their additional attributes, such as experience, intelligence, and ingenuity.
They were allowed the weapons they were seen using in the movies, those handguns they were always using. McClaine is
very good at using his environment to his advantage. He knows the ins and outs and a building like my old school.
I think he would break a gasline in one of the rooms and trick Dallas into it. Either by a well placed shot by McClaine or by a shot by Dallas at McClaine,
the gas would ignite and blow up taking Dallas with it. I believe that in Dallas' futuristic world, they use different forms
of heat generation than natural gas (which would be out of use in favour of a cleaner and safer form of power). Therefore he would not know about the gas or be able to
detect it. There would be a lot of gunplay but in the end I see it ending like this.
