Micheal Corvin is the descendant of a man know as Corvinius whose offspring became the origins of his universe's race of Vampires and Werewolves. Two of his children were bitten by the respective creatures (one by a wolf, the other by a bat), and somehow their genetic structures were altered to creature a virus based on the creatures dna. I am basically trying to explain the movie's premise as scientifically as possible. Micheal is the last in the line of untainted Corvins, ie: He is just a regular human but still has the Corvin blood "powers". He is the missing link between the 2 races and at the end of the movie he is bitten by both a vampire and a werewolf. This is supposed to kill a normal human (the 2 viruses would fight resulting in the death of the host). The Corvinius bloodline can merge both viruses, essentially creating a hybrid of Vampire and Werewolf characteristics. Micheal has the combined powers of both a vampire (strength, speed, fangs, healing factor, agility, heightened senses, and possible flight or maybe just the ability to stick to walls.) and a werewolf (strength, speed, healing factor, claws, heightened senses, and fierocity.). He didn't seem to have any of their weaknesses.
Jake Foley was a computer guy for the CIA until he was accidently injected with nanites. He now has increased strength, speed, heightened senses, agility, healing factor, and the ability to control computers remotely. His weakness is that he is still a clutz and doesn't have complete control of his powers. Another weakness is that the nanites can be disrupted by an EMP, leaving Jake highly disoriented.
I thought about this fight for a while but never got around to it because I started a new job. I finally gave it my usual hard thought and then I realized that just based on powers this was going to be one of those forever fights where whatever damage one did to the other would just heal fast enough to not matter. Well not exactly since I don't think Jake heals that fast. The thing I was forgetting was that Jake isn't much of a fighter. So although he has the powers, he wuld actually run from Mike. Mike's fierocity would overpower Jake. Mike would slice him up good and eat him.
