I wanted to do a battle with Conan for so long, but couldn't find a match for him. I waited for him to show up in the random
generator but he hasn't come up yet. Then I saw an interview with The Rock where he said that he and Arnold were friends. Then I heard
that since Arnold will now be the Governor of California, he wanted The Rock to take his place as the Terminator. Then it hit me, The Rock's
first lead role was as Mathayus, the Scorpion King. These two characters have much in common. They are both mercenaries with honour. Both
detest magic. Their abilities seem very similar, so this battle was tough to decide on. I am assuming that their skils with a
sword are equal. We know that Conan trained in the far east so he has samurai level skills with his sword. Mathayus
seemed to be just as good, although the origin of his skills was not revealed if I remember correctly. Mathayus also has
a bow and arrows, which I will allow since he had them throughout the movie. Mathayus did seem the more clever of the two.
But not by much so I don't think it will be much of a factor. Conan is stronger and tougher than Mathayus for sure. In a fight like
the kind these guys would have, being stronger and tougher makes all the difference. I tried to think of a reason for Mathayus
to win but I couldn't and it just seems right that Conan won. As a side fact, since it doesn't have relevance, is the fact that both became kings
later on. The way they became kings is what I wish to point out. Mathayus became the King of whatever land by making a deal
with Anubis, the God of the Dead. He controlled Anubis' army and took over most of Egypt. Thus he gained a kingdom, but later on paid
the price when he was forced to become The Scorpion King. Conan also won his own knigdom, but by his own strength and courage. He had no help from a god
or anything like that. Most likely he gathered his own army or something. The point I'm trying to make is that he was
able to do the same as Mathayus but totally on his own. This has no bearing here but it just shows that he is stronger than Mathayus.
