The way a challenge is supposed to work is that the challenged party has to complete the task with only the technology we have in the real world. There is a time limit of one year to complete the task. (This rule came up when I challenged Matt to capture the Emperor from Star Wars.). The challenge takes place within the targets universe. The challenged party is allowed an unlimited budget to complete the task.
I think it was another friend who actually challenged me to capture Magneto. I remember doing it so fast, I guess I had thought about something similar earlier that day. The objective was to capture him alive. Unconscious is fine but he has to be held alive.
I began by floating a rumour of anti-mutant actions happening all over the city. I then sent out a leak that a whole bunch of mutants were being held in a warehouse, making sure that the X-men are busy somewhere else. Therefore Magneto will be the only one to come running, I assumed anyway. That was the bait, here is the trap: Magneto has a force field that stops all solid objects from coming in contact with him. Although we can see him through this field, light cant pass through the field. This is evident by the fact that the field protects Magneto from Cyclops eyebeams. We can also hear him, meaning that sound can pass through the field. I take this to mean that I can use sound to knock him out. Concussive blasts probably wont work, but a high pitched blasts will overcome his senses and knock him out cold. Onc ethis is done we just throw him in a plastic prison like in the movie. Except I would chain him down with high strength plastic and I wouldnt let anyone near the prison. He can be fed with plastic feeding tubes. Nobody said I had to be humane.
