Francis Lee was born approximately 1809 in one of the Southern States in the USA. His mother was Cruicy Russel Ligh (sic). The first record of the family in Canada, is the year 1832 in the Marriages of the Home District. Cruicy marries for the second time as follows; Jean Baptiste LEMOINE � Crucy Russel LIGH (both York) � Sep 19 1832, L Morris Lawrence, Stephen Chapman � I-69 (12). Cruicy appears on the 1851 census for Markham, Ontario. She is listed as Cruicy Lamine, servant, widow. The name prior to hers is William Amose, an Inn Keeper. I believe at this time she is living at Brown�s Corners. The first record I can find of Jean Baptiste Lemoine is in the Ontario Marriage Bonds � KELLER, Charles M., bch, & Rebecca Tomlinson, spr, both of Markham. b:John B. Lamoine, of Markham, merchant, and James Tomlinson, of Delaware Tp., London District, yeoman. 14 Aug 1820 at York.

I have established that Francis Lee�s wife is Elizabeth Grainger, born circa 1822, Darlington Township, Ontario.
This family�s genealogy ties into many of the Mennonite names in York Region, such as Revend Joseph Barkey (Markham), Peter Erlin Kaiser (Vaughan), Samuel Miller (Vaughan), Susannah Byer (Boyer) (Vaughan), Grainger (Granger) of Markham and East Gwillimbury, Russel (Markham), George Schell (Uxbridge, Georgina, Sunnidale Twp), and other names like Kenneth Cameron (Georgina), Joseph Woof (Sutton) and many more.

My present search is to find out more about Cruicy, Jean Baptiste, and Francis. I cannot locate them in the United States, and have been searching the internet for quite a few years. Any help, leads, questions, anything at all would be appreciated.
