       Souls
              and
                      Storms

By: K.C.

I try to hold it in, my emotions I try to hide
But it seems that the world knows, how I feel inside,
My tears never fall, except from the sky,
For it always seems to rain, whenever I want to cry

If asked what's wrong, I'd say I'm fine,
With a simple rhythm to keep the words in time,
Just as the rain makes the air grow cold,
with its steady patter, to whisper the words untold.

I pretend not to notice the pain within my heart,
Yet the lightning cuts the sky, tearing it apart
I won't show my anger, that would mean I'd lost control
But the thunder tumbles wide, as if reading from my soul,

A storm only lasts a moment, only until the clouds pass
But the impression that it made, will always and forever last.
The heartache I feel now, won't last very long,
But the memory of it, will still continue on.
