I have read every single one of these books myself, and recommed them to you. This is in no way a complete list, nor are these books the best ones out there. They are books that I own or have read, and thus are the only ones I can say whether or not I think they are good.

The Spiral Dance - Starhawk
A very well written book on the Mysteries of paganism

To Ride A Silver Broomstick - Silver Ravenwolf
To Stir A Magick Caldron - Silver Ravenwolf
These two books complement eachother, each with different aspects of Witchcraft in them. Well written.

True Magick - Amber K.
Decent enough book, not much new here, but a good book for explaining magick.

The Truth About Witchcraft Today - Scott Cunningham
This one is about exactly what Witches are. It is written for the person who does not know, or does not believe anything they have heard about "true" witches. (true as opposed to fake, fake being what the Church called Witches during the Burning Times)

Wicca - A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner - Scott Cunningham
A good beginning book on Wicca. Widely known.

Living Wicca - A Further Guide for the Solitary Practitioner - Scott Cunningham
The continuation of learning from Solitary Practitioner. Just as good as the original in my opinion. Talks more on teaching others of your way of life, and how to set down the rules and such of a coven.

Drawing Down The Moon - Margot Adler
A fantastic book on the history of Paganism in this century.

Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft - Raymond Buckland
A good book, although rather coven oriented and has a slight amount of dogma. (Such as "Never ever ever blow your candles out!" and "You Must practice Naked!") Harder to find, as it is an older book.

Ancient Ways - Pauline & Dan Campanelli
A lovely book on the Sabbats. Illustrated, with many ideas for things to do to celebrate.

Wiccan Warrior - Kerr Cuhulain
Wicca from a man's point of view. Talks about exactly what a warrior is, and how men should embrace the more warriorlike side of themselves, not to hurt, but to help.

21st Century Wicca : A Young Witch's Guide to Living the Magical Life - Jennifer Hunter
Another good beginner's book. Has comments sprinkled throughout from other established Pagans. (One woman's mother thought they worshipped "Llamas" instead of the holiday "Lammas")

Wicca Handbook - Eileen Holland
If any of you has ever stumbled across the website Open Sesame (http://www.open-sesame.com) you will know this woman. Open Sesame is her website, and where she writes her books. The Wicca Handbook has much of the things she has posted on her site in the last 5 years.

Enchanted, Titania's Book of White Magic - Titania Hardie
A very beautiful book, not really a beginners book, but full of intensely beautiful pictures and rituals. Goes through the 13 moons in a year. Great for a year long devotional.

The Grandmother of Time - Zsuzsanna E. Budapest
A wonderful book about the many faces of the Goddess. Written in a very casual manner, talking about her own experiences as well.

Advanced Wicca - Patricia Telesco
Oh, happy was the day when I found this book on the shelves. I had boon looking for a while for a book that went BEYOND the first learnings of Wicca. BEYOND explaining what magick was and who the Goddess was. This book does exactly that. It is a very good "next step" for those who have been practicing for a few years and are saying "Now what?"
