The Raging Written: 1992 Ode to Steve T. Parody (to the Raven) Once upon a shift so gloomy, whilst I swept the floor till roomy, Worrying over a horrendous list Of forgotten chores, As I ran past buns-a-steamin', On my own the boss was reamin', Reamin, reamin', like he had never reamed before, He followed me into the cooler, where he began the golden ruler, The golden ruler of which I became quite bored. His fingers they began a-tappin', tappin',tappin that dam-ned tappin', That tappin' that soon became a roar. I informed him of my desired chores, To dust the shelves and mop the greasy floor, This, not much more. Then suddenly there came the urge to shove, To shove those fingers, To shove those fingers where they'd never been shoved before, This and so much more! As I stood there, Gasses building, impounded, restrained, I stood there like a mute, Watching him make for the door, As he ran out gasping, wheezing, choking, Cursing curses I had never heard before, I followed him out to his office, Where a-gain I offered, I offered to finish from before, Quote the manager,"Please,no more!"
