Water Falling

The sky sounded, thunder ripping suond waves through the clouds.

Autumn sat straight up. "Did you hear that?"

Ryan, sitting on the cough, chuckled and rubbed a finger over his lips, which, up until a second ago were locked with hers. "It's just thunder." He said with a smile as his hand rested on her back lightly. The thunder cracked again and she continued to sit, looking towards the rainy window.

He rubbed at his bottom lips and chuckled again. "I think your teeth left a permenant mark here, hun."

Autumn cracked a grin and took his hand. "Come on."

He grinned up at her but didn't budge. "Where?"

"Come with me." She tugged at his hand and finally had him reluctantly moving to stand up.

She moved towards the terrace window doors, opened them.

He stopped in his tracks behind her. "Whoa, wait. We're going outside?"

She smiled back at him.

"We'll get wet."

Autumn winked at him and moved over to him, played her lips against his, then back away an inch to flutter a look under her lashes. "That's the plan."

His eyes narrowed as he cocked his head to the side.

Her serious, seductive expression broke into a lazy smile. "I love it when you do that tilt of your head." She laughed and brought him closer to nip at his lip. "You never made out in the rain?"

He looked down at their linked hands, then back up with a grin. "Just always ended up inside."

Autumn laughed out loud and tugged on his hand to pull him through the doorway. "Good one."

Rain and wind gushed against them, soaking through their clothes and wetting their hair against their face. "Ha, I love it." She said, walking more towards the fences edge. Lightning crackled against the clouds and Autumn smiled up at the sky.

He came up beside her and rested his hands on her shoulder's, rubbing them and massaging her muscles. "What do you love about it?"

Thunder cracked.

She turned and looked up at him. "It's adrenaline. You get this fear of the being outside in the middle of a sky war. You never know when your electricity will go out or if lightning will touch the ground somewhere near you." She paused to push an escaped piece of wet hair from his forehead. "It's exciting."

Ryan smiled and wrapped his arms around her torso, pulling her up against him and moving his lips close to hers. "Must be the Irish in you. But...I bet I can make it even more exciting."

Autumn chuckled against his lips and looked up into the clear blue eys dancing with amusement. "Hmm...and how would that be?"

Ryan pressed a smile to her lips and pulled her closer when she brought her arms up to circle around his neck. Raindrops dripped down their faces and plastered their soaked clothes more against them. Ryan brought his hands up higher behind her back to loose his fingers in her long, wet hair.

Autumn pushed against him more as her lips over for his. Her stomach rumbled like the thunder int he sky, the excitement making her heartbeat as fast as the lightning. Her breath came short, the heat in her body contrasting with the cold around her. She could taste the fresh water on his lips and smiled against them, reveling in the danger of the moment. The smells of the rain, the sound of it pelting down on the terrace wooden deck made it more real in her dream-like state.

Her eyes flutter open a small way to watch his face, the drips sliding down his cheeks. The way his eyes were closed to feel her, taste her.

Her heart flip flopped and her eyes closed tight as the emotions swamped through her.

She'd always remember him on stormy days, no matter where they were. Together or not.
