By now, I guess most of you must have heard that SG-1 is cancelled. While I am very sad by the news as this is my fave show, I am also happy that we've gotten ten good years out of the show. Some episodes have been better than others and some seasons have been better than others, but all in all I have to say the show has had a fine run.

I know that TPTB are working hard to keep it alive somehow, most likely in the form of a TV movie or a miniseries.  And I would be thrilled with that. Maybe even RDA would sign on for a short-term project like that. I can see the actors willing to take part in something of this kind. The only eventual problem might be trying to get the whole cast back together again due to shooting schedules on any other projects they might find.

All I can say is that we should support the actors in their decisions, whether they want to move on or to sign up for whatever comes down the pike. It won't be the same for me, though, if we can't "get the band back together," so to speak.

I'm sure the fandom will remain alive. It will shrink, I'm sure, but we'll always have some great fic out there, videos, art, and more. I don't intend on leaving the fandom at this time (unless they do something stupid in the finale and kill off some of the characters). I won't be writing as much because of RL, but I'm sure I'll be updating my website with new content for those interested. (As an aside, I will be adding a team fic, Sam-centric within the next two weeks.) And I'm sure that other people in the fandom will as well. So, those of us who stay won't be alone ;)
