Every morning, she felt his
warmth.
Like the rising sun, he
flooded her room, enveloping her with his heat as he pulled her close.
Elizabeth found herself unfurl in his embrace, beckoned to life with his
sand-shaped hands and his coffee kisses. The tender touches would soften into a
comfortable silence as they held still and listened to the city stir around
them. Slowly, Atlantis would awaken, and she could feel the city tremble as it
shook off the night. Together, they remained, filled with the peace of light
that washed over Atlantis.
Then, the haze of sleep
would begin to lift, sweeping her away from the momentary glow that greeted her
each morning.
And she would find herself
energized, ready, but alone.
But she knew that like the
city around her, he held the same symbol of hope and renewal only an ocean
away.
