Plea" Bring " Green Street Hooligans" To Your Town
I received the following Plea from the makers of the movie:
Dear Hoolifans, We know that a lot of you have been trying to find out what you can do to help us distribute this movie. Sorry it has taken a while to get back to you on this but as you know, we�ve started a new distribution company for the film and there�s a lot of time and effort involved in getting the movie out. Many of you are anxious to have the movie come to your local theatre and we want to do all we can to make that happen. But, as you know, everything depends on how successful the movie is in its limited run opening weekends. Since we are not a major studio, we do not have the ability to open a movie �wide,� but the more successful the picture is in every theatre where it plays, the better the chance it will get to your local theatre. So, here is what you can do: Start a petition in your area to bring the film to your local theatre. The petition must include the signatories� name, address, phone number and email and each petition must have a minimum of 1,000 signatures to be meaningful to the theatre owner in your town. Please forward these completed petitions to the mailing address listed below. Get as many people as you can to go to the official website www.greenstreethooligans.com and post on our message board. We�ll put up a new forum called �we support this film.� All someone has to do is post a line telling us that they support Green Street Hooligans. Find a visible spot in your town to display a Green Street Hooligans poster. Send us a note that verifies that you have permission to post it and we�ll send you a poster. Please note, that the posters are expensive to manufacture and mail, so if you don�t actually have a place to post it and we send you one, you�ll be hurting our campaign instead of helping it. Organize a group of friends and travel to the closest of the opening weekend theatres to see the movie. Download ONE BLOOD by Terence Jay, the original featured song from the film�s ultimate fight scene�available on iTunes (99�) and starting the week of August 29th, call your local radio station and request they play it. There is no way to express how important you all are to us. Your vocal support is the reason we�ve decided to distribute this film ourselves. We cannot possibly succeed without you and if any of you have any other ideas on how you can help us, please let us know. You can make suggestions by posting on the message board under the forum called �Suggestion Box.� Also, as an addition to our website, we will now be posting pictures of our Hoolifans! So, send us (either digitally or via mail) a picture of you wearing your wrist cuff, standing next to a GREEN STREET HOOLIGANS poster, holding one of the many stickers or coasters our street teams have been distributing in cities across America, or pictures from your road trip to see the film on opening weekend and we�ll be posting them on the site!
