Brief report:
After hiking to Boundary Peak on Saturday 6/29/02, mdostby and I stopped at the Sizzler's in Bishop to treat ourselves with plenty of food. Then, we headed towards the Locked Gate. Got to the locked gate around 7:00pm
and then we spent the next hour putting up chicken wire below my truck's engine to protect it from the marmots. Slept under the stars at the locked gate parking area. Woke up by 5:00am and started walking at 5:30am. Within 1000' of elevation gain left, I decided to head straight up through class 2 rock. Got to the summit at 9:11am. Next time I do this mountain I'm going to mountain bike it most of the way.
