San Bernardino East Peak (10,691 ft / 3259 m): via Momyer Creek

December 1, 2001

Brief report:

I, along with fellow hiker mdostby (Mike), hiked to San Bernardino East Peak (10,691') from the Momyer Creek trailhead (5,400') on Saturday, 12/1/01. Trail conditions were good. Decent snow level on Saturday morning was approx 7000 feet (has changed by now). Was windy and cold at San Bernardino East peak summit. Did not really need snowshoes and/or crampons on Saturday 12/1/01. Ski poles were handy, though.
