YunNan Province -- A mysterious land Kunming can be easily reached by means of both transportation and telecommunication．Highways that radiate from Kunｍing to QuJing，Yuxi，Chuxiong and Dali cities in Central Yunnan have been upgraded．With airports built in DaLi，LiJiang，Xishuangbanna，Diqing and other places，fifty‐two international，or regional and domestic airlines have been established. Ｗｈｅｎ the extension of Kunming airport is completed in 1999，this international airport will attain an annual handling capacity of 10 million passengers/times with a network of air routes covering all Southeast Asia．ln a bid to beautify its environment，Kunming municipality has invested over RMB 2 bimon Yuan in the reconstruction of the urban infrastructures．lncluded in the undertaking are the proiect of upgrading 31 main streets and planting trees to flank them，the proiect of building 5 new gardens quares and two greenbelts，and the proiect of remolding 7 large parks and decorating the urban main streets with 2 mimon pots of flowers．With all its vigor and glamour Kunming is ready to meet visitors from all over the world． |
