| Shaina is a very complicated character in St. Seiya, she's also very important to the plot. At first she hates Seiya for defeating her pupil, Casios for the Pegasus Armor and then later on she hates him for defeating her. She uses the excuse that when a man sees a woman saint's face, she must either love that man or kill him. All through until the wars with the Sanctuary, she seems bent on killing the only man who has seen her face, but in her final encounter with him, she confesses her love for Seiya. After that she helps Seiya and his friends through most of their battles. Most lesser fighters worship Shaina because she is so strong. Others say that she fights like a man and is the most powerful of all the female fighters. She is, but Seiya saw behind the mask and behind her soul. He showed her compasion which she had not gotten from anyone else and fell in love with him. |
