| Dohko is Shiryu's sensei who is very very very old. He is also very wise and due to this Shiryu always has some ancient proverb or story that helps him on his quest. The old Saint is the keeper of the Golden Armor of Libra, the most important of the Saints because he keeps the weapons of the Gold Saints. They can only be used when he sees it nescesary and is the judge of the Gold Saints. He was the first Gold Saint to ally with the Bronze Saints, simply because he was Shiryu's sensei. He taught Shiryu all of the Dragon techniques he knows and his personal Dragon Technique is the 100 Ascending Dragons which is as the name says 100 times as powerful as Shiryu's Ascending Dragon...which is considerably strong! The Armor of Libra keeps the balance of power between all of the Gold Saints and even though Athena forbids the Gold Saints from using weapons, when it is called for he can over-rule that order During his youth he was also very strong, he faced lots of powerful opponents and for some reason he never mentions who trained him. He fought one of Alberich's ancestors during those days and he managed to defeat him by a small margin. He becomes one with nature and prevents the nature attacks from his opponent. He tells Shiryu that if he ever gets to meet with someone like that to become one with nature. Of course Shiryu does and because of Dohko's advice he wins. Dohko is under a self-spell which permits him to have one heartbeat per day. Meaning that he lives a lot longer, also his old appearance is a shell, much like a cocoon and during the Hades chapter he cracks it and becomes young again to fight against Hades once more. He is the only survivor from the battle against the god of the underworld. |
