| The Crystal Saint was Hyoga's sensei who was a very passionate man who believed in fighting for justice and in protection of the weak. When the Sanctuary became corrupted he headed for it and confronted him. The patriarch used his mind controling technique and made him go back to Siberia to construct an ice pyramid to show his glory. Crystal Saint does as he's told and soon encounters his disciple whom he fights. He wins since Hyoga was not wearing his armor. Hyoga retreats and comes back when he's ready, but is not really ready to strike the man whom he worships as his father and sensei. Seiya shows up and tells Hyoga to fight and he does, the outcome is Crystal Saint's death, but he comes out of the spell and tells Hyoga to keep fighting for justice and never to give up. Hyoga never gets over killing his sensei because he meant so much to him. |
