| Alberich wasn't a powerful God Warrior. In fact he only relied on his special attacks and his agility to get him out of messes. He did though defeat Marin, Seiya and Hyoga. His main power was his inteligence and he exploided that advantage for everything it was worth. His special attacks are the Amethyst Shield which locked people up in a Amethyst crystal and drained their power, and he could also control trees and things that he used to attack his enemies. In contrast with the other God Warriors, he wasn't in it for protecting Hilda and serving Asgard. He wanted to gather the Odin Saphires to get the Odin Sword and kill Hilda. He wanted to rule Asgard and ultimately the world. Since the Odin Sword could defeat the "largest evil" which suposedly was the Nibelung, he thought it could get him the world. Shiryu shows in to fight him in place of Hyoga who can barely stand and uses his knowledge to prevent his spell of nature that controlled the trees. After seeing through the Ametyst Shield, Shiryu takes off his armor so he would use it again (he wouldn't because Shiryu kept blocking it with his shield). Alberich uses his attack again, and Shiryu gets his attack in to kill him and take his Odin Saphire. |
