Not To Be Confused

Hypnosis is not psychotherapy but it is essential for the practitioner to know about the undesirable patterns one seeks to overcome and the key words, negative and positive, associated with the changes one seeks to accomplish. So yes, it is always useful to share one's emotions related to the issue, and this will help the practitioner phrase a script that is completely tailored. Hypnosis scripts are often described as 'artistically vague', meaning that the wording is structured to connect with the Subconscious in a fashion that is very flexible for It to interpret.

What To Expect?

Group sessions address a topic more broadly but are still very efficient and ultimately can help one decide to seek a private session for more drastic and faster results. Group sessions are too suited for individuals who are curious about the benefits of hypnosis. After a group session, individuals are always encouraged to share their experiences.

Who Is Hypnotizable?

Although the consensus indicates that more or less 2/3 of population is highly hypnotizable, the skills of the practitioner are too important. However some people may be more receptive to specific accent(s) and tones. In very rare instances, the physical appearance could play a role. This to say that most people are indeed hypnotizable. The fear of losing awareness while undergoing hypnosis can also be an hindrance but it is generally up to the practitioner to inspire confidence. However, the level of hypnosis you may expect during group and individual sessions alike targets the Alpha wave but highly receptive individuals may drift into the 'theta wave'. Interestingly, approximately 80% of the population are medium, 10% are high and 10% are low. However, it is the individual's capacity that allows him or her to experience hypnosis. Among some misconceptions involving hypnosis is the fear that the individual undergoing hypnosis must relinquish all control to the hypnotist. This is not the case, the individual is always in control. Hypnosis doesn't work without prior consent. Some people think that hypnotizability has to do with personality or intelligence. So far no studies have demonstrated this. Stage hypnosis (for entertainment) is utterly misleading since all participnats are pre-screened and highly suggestible.

Why Signing A Disclaimer?

Everybody willing to undergo a session has to because the subconscious mind is in the brain wave pattern called "Alpha" and is open to symbolic interpretation that the hypnotist suggests for the positive outcome of clients' issue(s). The latter have to agree that they will either accept or reject these suggestions based on their own personal belief system - and that individual results may vary, depending on their willingness to participate and accept direction. The Disclaimer will have to be copied and pasted in the body email, then be sent with your electronic signature. (view disclaimer)

Levels Of Hypnosis

Alpha' and 'Theta' are the natural states of hypnosis. 'Alpha' is a light hypnosis and 'Theta' a deep hypnosis.
