| To the People of the Republic, We have now entered the proving time for our Republic. Will we stand united and forge a new, lasting nation for Ayenee, or will this great nation fall like so many others into obscurity? We have won our war for independence. We have won our war for recognition. We have won the war for our survival. Now we must win the war for our prosperity. This is not a question of how many bases are destroyed or how many enemies are killed, but how many hearts truly support our Republic- and how many traitors to its ideals are punished. Rebellion stirs with no rhyme or reason, and though it is almost unreasonable enough to warrant an investigation, too many times have I seen this angry populace turn its anger against myself that I wonder what I have done to deserve it. I know you are angry. I am angry as well. I will never cease to be infuriated every time a human settlement is crushed by a dark power. I will never stop becoming enraged when someone insults or threatens my People. I fight and argue so you, the people, do not have to. However, I cannot do it alone. We need soldiers and we need members of our higher staff to ensure that the world takes us seriously and will continue to do so for all time. My beloved people, you are now in a period of greater freedom than you have ever experienced before. But with this freedom comes responsibility. You have a responsibility to your nation, but more importantly, you have a responsibility to each other. The crime must stop NOW. It matters not whether it's a rape, a murder, or shoplifting a roll of candy, each criminal or seditious action you take brings the Republic one step farther away from true freedom. I forgive you all. I understand you all.
