25/6/2008: Today i had my Koni Yellow Sport Kit installed by MCC Sport in Veghel (The Netherlands). And after it was installed, i couldn't wait till i could test the new setup and find out the new limits of the car. The grip level is even higher and I have more turn-in in fast corners and I can get earlier on the power without getting understeer. The cars balance is similar as with the intrax 30mm lowering springs, just a little bit more oversteer and ofcource the higher cornering speed limit. Altough the koni's give a little more comfort then the 30mm intrax lowering springs but with much better roadholding. My Koni's front/back are on 50 % (medium) Firmness at the moment. update: Now i have them at 85% stiff in the front and 100% stiff in the rear, which fixes understeer in the middle of the corner and pushes the overall limit even higher ! Also the ride quality stays amaizingly well at max firmness, also for daily driving i'd say. I didnt like the shocks on medium that was too soft for my likeing. |
