The grim reaper has many imitators but the minor death is one of the best.  Built of the bones of judges and vengeful individuals, it has but one task: kill a certain group of people.
     Standing 7 feet tall and resembling a black-cloaked skeleton with huge feathery wings, the minor death is a creation of vengeful necromancers.  He carries a scythe at all times and moves with a creepy silence.
     It understands Common and one other language, but cannot speak beyond a wailing shriek.

Combat
As an intelligent opponent, the minor death has many methods of killing.  It favors using its gaze of doom attack to paralyze its foe with fear, then touching the helpless character killing it.  Against tougher opponents, it attempts to coup de grace and relies on its physical power and maneuverability.  It is not above using traps or allies to kill its target.
    
Touch of Death (Su): With a touch attack, a minor death can snuff out a life.  The victim must make a Fortitude save (DC 18) or die instantly.  This counts as a death attack for the purposes of resurrection.
    Gaze of Doom (Su): By concentrating its gaze on an opponent it can paralyze a foe.  This requires a standard action and force the victim to make a Will save (DC 18) or become paralyze until the minor death stops gazing at him and for one round after.
    
Attacks: A minor death receives a +10 racial bonus to attacks against foes it was specifically created to destroy.
