Dracohydras are among the most dangerous dragons to civilization and the local ecology.  They are bestial but have great ambition and cunning.
A dracohydra is immediately distinguishable by the three to five heads. Tales are told of seven or even nine headed dragons but there is currently no positive evidence of their existence.  Dracohydras have long necks, two or more tails, and a thick body.  Their scales are a dark greenish black, typically fading with age.  Their eyes are amber or red.  An acrid smell hangs about the creature often mixed with the scent of raw meat.
Dracohydras usually lair in whatever cavern-like structures they can conquer.  Caves, burrows, dungeons and fortifications are the most common lairs.  The most alarming thing is their habit of traveling in clutches when young.  Unlike other dragons, dracohydras never care for their young and instead leave their eggs in the wilderness.
Dracohydras prefer to eat meat, usually kicking and screaming.  They have no treasure preference, instead wanting everything.

Combat
Dracohydras prefers to ambush their victims, lurking behind whatever cover they can find. Once engaged in combat they attempt to inflict as much carnage as possible.

Breath Weapons (Su): A dracohydra breathes a line of lightning.
Multiple Heads (Ex):  A dracohydra has 1d3+2 heads at birth.  Each can deliver a bite attack or release a breath weapon independently. Each head requires 1d4 rounds between breath weapon attacks.  A head may be killed by dealing 1/3 of the dragons total hit points to that head exclusively.  It revives in 1d4 days.

Spell-Like Abilities: 3/day-wall of fog, darkness, 2/day-stinking cloud, 1/day-cloudkill, and horrid wilting.

GMs Commentary:
The dracohydra is just one of those monsters that look it would be fun to use.
