Ankylosaurus Ankylosaurus is a heavily armored dinosaur, covered in thick bony plates. Though slow and plodding this herbivore wields a unique weapon, a club like tail that it can swing at those predators daring enough to attack it. It can measure up to 20 feet long and weigh several tons. Combat Too slow to evade most predators, an ankylosaurus uses its club tail to dissuade those not daunted by its thick armor. With its massive strength, it can often cripple the large two legged carnivores, sentencing them to death by starvation. Brachiosaurus One of the largest dinosaurs, this creature lives like the modern giraffe, eating the buds and leaves of the trees. Its head can easily reach 40 feet or more into the treetops. The statistics above can be used for any of the brachiosaurids, many who were even larger. Combat Few creatures would even think of attacking a healthy brachiosaur, but those who do receive a powerful kick. This is sufficient deterrent to most predators. Smaller creatures have to worry about being accidentally (or deliberately) trampled upon. Trample (Ex): A frightened or enraged brachiosaurus can run over creatures of Large size or smaller, dealing 4d8+12 damage (opponents who do not make attacks of opportunity can attempt a Reflex save DC 35 for half damage). Compsognathus One of the smallest dinosaurs, it is only the size of a chicken. These bird like creature fed on small animals and insects. Combat Generally, this creature is not much of a combatant, at least with medium size or larger creatures. When it does attack it is with a sharp bite. Sometimes packs of these creatures will form and attack larger creatures. |
