Also called the staff of storms, earths vengeance, or the balancer; the true name of this staff is the staff of seasons.  Its other epitaphs have been earned by the variety of evil uses it has been put to.
The staff is six feet long, roughly a an inch and a half in diameter and cut from a redwood.  The bottom end is shod in copper, the top in meteoric iron.  Runic script is carved up and down the staff in three lines.  Three rings of symbols lie near each end.

Powers: The major power of this artifact is to alter the worlds weather patterns.  By concentrating on the staff for several minutes the bearer can cause the worlds climate to become that of any season, cause widespread drought or monsoons, or plunge the world into eternal storms.  The great limitation is the lack of control.  For example if a drought is created in the next kingdom it will also cause drought everywhere about that kingdom until some strong force, like an ongoing monsoon, halts it.  Additionally that water will have to end up some place else, either draining into (and flooding) underground areas or inundating another land.
The other powers are less troublesome though still quite formidable:

1/day-Control Weather as a 20th level druid (this requires but a standard action).
 2/day-Whirlwind as 20th level druid.
 3/day-Sleet Storm as a 20th level druid.
 5/day-Lightning Bolt as a 20th level sorcerer.
5/day-Gust of Wind as a 20th level sorcerer.

Methods of destruction:

Left in still air for a hundred years.
Burned by the flame of a thousand year old dragon that has never flown.
Broken over one leg while standing perfectly still in a tornado.
